Crazy fun tailgate party in Seattle

Global Campus student at Seattle week events

Throngs of Cougs will crowd Seattle streets. The marching band will play, cheerleaders will dance, foam fingers will point toward the sky.

WSU’s first football game is always a fun raucous event—a sensory overload of crimson and gray, spirit and pride, high hopes and Cougar camaraderie.

This year’s game is Aug. 28 against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights at CenturyLink Field. But close to the field will be another, more exclusive, event. Global Campus students, family and friends are invited to a free tailgate party from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at Henry’s 1st Avenue Tavern, 1518 1st Avenue South. There will be free food, giveaways, and a chance to rest your vocal chords before cheering the Cougs on to victory.

Here are the details:

When: 3:30-6:30 p.m. Aug. 28.

Where: Henry’s 1st Avenue Tavern, a couple of blocks from CenturyLink.

Who: You and up to three guests.

Deadline to register: Aug. 21
